How Long Does ACFT Take?
The ACFT typically takes 60 to 90 minutes to complete, depending on the number of participants, available equipment, and how efficiently the test is administered. Each of the six events 3-rep max deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, plank (or leg tuck), and the 2-mile run is done in sequence with rest periods of up to 5 minutes between most events. For large groups, testing may take longer due to rotations and equipment setup. Understanding how long does ACFT take helps soldiers plan their time, prepare mentally, and pace themselves effectively. To make the most of your training sessions, simulate test-day timing and track your scores using an ACFT calculator.
