How Long Does the ACFT Take?
The ACFT typically takes around 60 to 90 minutes to complete from start to finish. This includes time for briefing, warm-up, transitions between events, and the required rest periods (usually up to 5 minutes between each event). The test is made up of six physically demanding events: the 3-rep max deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, plank (or leg tuck), and the 2-mile run. The total time may vary based on the number of participants and the availability of equipment. Understanding how long does the ACFT take is key to properly pacing yourself and training under realistic conditions. To track your progress efficiently, use an ACFT calculator to log scores and improve performance over time.
