What Are the 6 Events of the ACFT?
The six events of the ACFT are designed to measure a soldier’s overall strength, power, endurance, agility, and core stability. These events include: 1) 3-rep max deadlift to test lower body strength, 2) standing power throw for explosive upper body power, 3) hand-release push-ups for upper body endurance, 4) sprint-drag-carry to assess speed and agility under load, 5) plank or leg tuck for core strength, and 6) the 2-mile run for cardiovascular endurance. Each event is scored up to 100 points, making a maximum total score of 600. Understanding the six events of the ACFT helps soldiers focus on event-specific training and track progress using an ACFT calculator, ensuring they meet Army fitness standards.
