What Does ACFT Stand For?
ACFT stands for Army Combat Fitness Test, the official physical fitness assessment used by the United States Army. It replaced the previous Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) to better evaluate a soldier’s ability to perform physically demanding tasks in combat situations. The ACFT consists of six events that test strength, endurance, and agility, including the deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, plank (or leg tuck), and a 2-mile run. Understanding what does ACFT stand for is essential for anyone preparing to join the Army or improve their military readiness. Using an ACFT calculator helps estimate your score and track progress across all six events.
