What Does the ACFT Consist Of?
The ACFT consists of six events designed to evaluate a soldier’s overall fitness and combat readiness. These events are: 1) 3-rep max deadlift for lower body strength, 2) standing power throw for explosive power, 3) hand-release push-ups for upper body endurance, 4) sprint-drag-carry to test speed and agility under load, 5) plank (or leg tuck) for core strength, and 6) the 2-mile run to assess cardiovascular endurance. Each event is scored up to 100 points, with a minimum passing total score of 360 points. Knowing what the ACFT consists of helps soldiers focus on event-specific training and track their results using an ACFT calculator, ensuring they meet Army fitness standards.
