What is ACFT?
The ACFT, or Army Combat Fitness Test, is the official physical fitness test used by the U.S. Army to assess a soldier’s strength, endurance, agility, and overall combat readiness. Introduced to replace the old APFT, the ACFT consists of six challenging events: the 3-rep max deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, leg tuck or plank, and the 2-mile run. This modern fitness test is designed to better reflect the physical demands soldiers face in real combat situations. Understanding what is ACFT is essential for anyone preparing for military service, and using an ACFT calculator can make it easier to estimate your score and improve your performance.
