What Is an ACFT?
An ACFT stands for Army Combat Fitness Test, which is the official physical fitness assessment for U.S. Army soldiers. It consists of six events designed to measure overall combat readiness: 3-rep max deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry, plank (or leg tuck), and the 2-mile run. Each event is scored up to 100 points, with a total maximum of 600 points, and soldiers must meet minimum standards in each event to pass. Knowing what an ACFT is helps soldiers prepare effectively, track progress using an ACFT calculator, and ensure they meet Army fitness requirements for promotions and duty readiness.
